You need to have a good keyword that is related to your niche.Analyze your targeted keywords using google suggest

Url Structure

Your URL structure can affect your site a lot giving good URL name that has relevant to your page will help your site more crawlable

Meta description

site description should be unique for each pages with targeted keywords. Do not stuff keywords into meta description.

H1 tag

Add Keywords towards H1 tag as head lines.

Contents

Pay special attention to your content

Meta titles and description

Implement unique META titles and descriptions for all of your pages

Robot.txt

Place robots.txt in your root on your server

Loading

Make your web site load fast.

Don't forget about making your site user friendly too. Some site owners prefer optimizing their sites only for the reason of promotion but one should also think about simple users.

its imporant that your site is SEO friendly as well as user friendly too, and to make it adding title to the URL is a very good idea by doing this it will enable search engines to index your site faster.

Add key words in the URL
set a Meta description
use H1 tag
add as unique Contents as possible
Apply unique META titles and descriptions for each page
etc...

There are two ways to build your website search engine friendly on-page and off-page optimization. Keep your site litter to brows and don't keep many script on front page.
