Ive got a site with a .co.uk domain name but its hosted in the us
Now noone has ever clarified this but as far as i gather having a .co.uk domain google will think your from the UK , but it being hosted in the us is worrying me that it will hold me back in terms of seo , But then i think that when searching on google you see a lot of .com sites on there now and what not . So can anyone advise me does hosting in the us affect my seo for here in the UK !!! Im new to SEO and just wondering ! _________________ college works painting scam Scottsdale Luxury Homes |

it wont have an tangible or palpable effect, for instance i have 2 of my sites one hosted with http://www.thewebpole.com/ in US and another hosted with a host at singapore, i find no difference both are perfoming equally well

I guess it's more important the reliability and good performance of the hosting rather than its place.

While there are some cases of domain extension effecting local SEO results, hosting factors tend to weigh in if and when you are on a virtual host that is in a "bad neighborhood" aka they host a lot of crap in addition to your site. Also, if and when you are doing any link building between sites on the same virtual host, that will also be a factor as Google will see the same block of IP addresses and react accordingly, seeing as how there would be no diversity in your link profile.
So, long story short, not to worry. If you're concerned about location-based results, make sure you coordinate the site's physical location on the site with the domain extension, as well as in Webmaster tools. |

I think nobody care so much where it's hosted. The only thing is important that the host should be reliable.
